Every one of our systems is stood up in the factory before shipping. We almost always have a TV bed scheduled in the manufacturing line.

The 70″ Sony television is housed in a Select Alder system of mitered raised panels. We used a custom wiping stain for color and semi-gloss lacquer for hue and depth. A real beauty.

This far into the development of the unique combination Murphy Bed with TV has been aided by the development of ultra-thin TVs. Not only are the televisions wider, they are lighter, making them easier to lift and to hide away.
A negative to the development of the ultra thin televisions is sound reproduction. You’ll notice, located below the TV is a separate sound system by Sony, but the brand choice is yours. For your TV Bed, you’ll need a sound bar that adds theater surround sound.
This system was built for Gerald in Houston and is solid Cherry with a Dark Walnut stain and satin sheen lacquer final coat. This configuration of mitered, raised panels is more elegant than these factory pictures suggest.
Even with the television off, this black-oiled lacquer finished murphy bed system looks very elegant in Mrs. Norris’s living room. This system is 71″ wide, $7,500. Pull the stainless-steel handles and a queen-sized bed is lowered into the room. The 42 inch television remains 7″ off the floor when the bed is lowered. — Don’t ask the other guys to attempt this trick.
Mrs. Norris’s mattress is 14-inches thick. Very comfortable, but you can use any mattress you like. We just need to know the thickness and weight so we can calibrate the mechanism for your mattress.
This Shaker style system is a queen bed made of Alder with 65″ TV and a sound bar in the bed face. Here it is in the factory before we finished it and took it down to Scottsdale, AZ for installation:
This marvel of engineering is a FlyingBeds first and definitely a FlyingBeds exclusive: a TV and a craft table built into the bed face. This maximum functionality gives the room not two but three purposes: guest room, entertainment room, and craft room or home office. We guarantee no one else in the Murphy bed business can build anything like this!
Mitered raised panels and Benjamin Moore Super White in conversion varnish really make this an eye-catching piece, and our high standard of craftsmanship means it will serve its family for many years to come.

This King has a 70″ TV in the bed face and was featured in Bend, Oregon’s Parade of Homes. We sent this system out unfinished so Greg could have his carpenters stain it to complement his exposed beams and custom doors and trim.
