This second home in Beaver Creek, Colorado needed a home office function for 3 months out of the year. But, the same space allotted to this office had to become the guest bedroom. An even more important consideration, was this alcove was in the main Great Room ! The designer for this client asked if we couldn't come up with something unique for the SICO queen EuroBed bedface treatment. Why not art ! |

ART ? Here's what we came up with.. Start with plain slice cherry with sequential matched grain - add raised solid cherry panels - stir in five halogen lights with dimmer control and add some Colorado mountains. We spent thre nights at the factory designing a mountain scene behind the city lights of Denver. We copied this design on to solid cherry blanks and stained each range a different hue. Then we stacked it on the SICO EuroBed bedface. So far, we have had requests from Fargo, North Dakota and Galvaston, Texas, for their skylines to be reproduced on our beds.. Now, I call that a vote of confidence ! |
