White Lacquer King Murphy Bed System Goes to Jamaica

Jamaican King Grille Jamaican King Bridge
When Hayslip Design of Dallas called and asked if we would like to manufacture a king Murphy bed for Jamaica, I said, 'You Betcha.'  Then they sent me the design! It took some computer assisted programs for the custom grille design, but ultimately we succeeded in making a Signature FlyingBed. We finished this system in a white lacquer finish with No. 40 sheen final coat. The combination of the turquoise tuffted interior back panel with the white lacquer definitely speaks Jamaica! All these photographs are from the final day in factory, and I apologize for not having a fully assembled unit. We were in a rush to meet a deadline.

This photograph is of the entrance to the Parlour Room of a hotel suite. The left pier cabinet is functionally a closet and drawer combination. The right pier cabinet is a coffee station with refrigerator below it. Between these two side modules is the SICO RoomMaker King System.

The SICO RoomMaker King size bed can be lowered and raised with one hand. This photograph demonstrates the ability of this superior system to hold all positions of either movement, up or down.

The light system installed in this module is three functional. The back three fixtures are for accent lighting, the two forward tilt hera lights are indivdually controlled for reading.

The corner of this mattress features three distingtive parts of our SICO RoomMaker system. The mattress can be any manufacturer. The custom made platform is complementing the design theme and the tubular steel frame is arc welded to be the world's strongest Murphy Bed.

Ease of Operation
The SICO Room Maker uses a compression coil to offset the heavy weight of a real mattress and box spring. We have an installation in Malibu that will have a full mirrored bed face to be pictured here in January 2005, stay tuned space traveler.

Tennis Court at Richards

If you look across the tennis court to the peninsula 1.47 miles away you can see Cher's hide-a-way in Malibu. Don't use this photograph as a GPS reference.

Malibu:
Mirrored King SICO Bed has Electric Motor

Richard lives in Malibu right on the beach, OK, so there's a tennis court between him and the beach.

He requested that we install his new remote controlled electric SICO King Bed before the furniture was manufactured to surround it.

The advantage of this plan is the bed will fit perfectly.

At the right is bed in operation from remote switch on the wall.

To the left is what makes the SICO bed work effortlessly. This may look a little complex, damned if you aren't right! It took us a full day to install this bed.

I can truthfully say that Mr. Murphy would have been shocked to see this bed disappear into a mirror.
